Tamale Bowls are being reintroduced for a brief time to the El Pollo Loco menu over the holidays, with new, tasty offerings like the Double Tamale Bowl, Crispy Tamale & Tinga Bowl and Double Loaded Queso Tamale Bowl.
Double Tamale Bowl
This dish (pictured above) includes a duo of chicken tamales made from freshly grilled chicken and masa. They are served with seasoned rice, sliced avocado, cilantro, enchilada sauce, protein-packed pinto beans and a zesty queso fresco.
Crispy Tamale and Tinga Bowl
The Crispy Tamale and Tinga Bowl is crafted from chicken tinga, avocado, pinto beans and fluffy rice. It also includes a crispy-fried chicken tamale that is topped with a dollop of cool sour cream.
Double Loaded Queso Tamale Bowl
The Double Loaded Queso Tamale Bowl at El Pollo Loco comes with a chicken tamale that is coated in queso blanco and finished with a serving of fresh guac and pico de gallo. It is also served with a bed of seasoned rice, pinto beans and chopped flame-grilled chicken breast.
